Time with our Loved Ones is Precious

This past week a dear sister in my ward was killed tragically in a Motorcycle Accident on New Year's Day. She died doing what she loved, but my heart breaks for her dear husband who did not know it would be their last ride together in this life. It makes me want to cherish each moment with the ones I love. To hold my children a little tighter, to tell my husband I love him, every second of the day. To let my parents know how much their example and love mean to me, in case I don't have the chance to tell them tommorrow. I attended the funeral of this sweet sister. The chapel was overflowing(proof of how many lives she has touched) I am grateful she touched mine. I want to be better, because I know her. Her funeral was a celebration of the great person she was, and still is. I am so greatful for the knowledge we have that this life is not the end. The knowledge we have that we can be with those we love again. How blessed we are. We mourn the loss, but know we will meet again.

New Year's Day!!!

We had our annual New Year's brunch, and game day with my family. We always have omelets, and other yummy breakfast items, and then we play games. One of the favorites to play is Catch Phrase. The girls kicked butt this year. Andrew brought Rock Band, and the boys liked playing that too. That evening my parent's took all the grownups to Saviour of The World(a production about the Saviour's birth and life) It was one of our Christmas Gifts. I really enjoyed it. Once again it was a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. Saturday, our niece Kirstyn was baptized, what a great example she is setting for all her cousins. It was a busy, Great Weekend!!

The Kids Scored on Great Christmas Stuff!

I think the kids were happy with their gifts this year. For our family gift we got a WII, which I love just as much as the kids do. We have a lot of fun playing together. I think one of the favorite games is Guitar Hero. The kids like Mario Kart too, because they can race their cousins online. That is pretty cool to be miles away, and still be able to play a game together. Christmas day we stayed home, and stayed in our jammies all day. Wyatt cooked a nice dinner for us that evening.

Merry Christmas Eve!!

Christmas is one of my favorite times of year. I love this special time to remember our saviour's birth, his life, and all the gifts he has given us. I love being with family, and celebrating together. I love the gift giving, and seeing my kids' faces light up, when they wake up on Christmas morning. I just love it all! We had some great celebrations. We celebrated with the Esplin side a couple of days before Christmas. We always have soup, and yummy homemade donuts, and then the kids perform the Nativity. Check out the Three Wiseman. Christmas Eve was at my Mom and Dad's this year. We had a delicious dinner, with tons of food, nativity program,(check out our angels). Then gift exchange. We always get some great stuff. The boys got Utes stuff(they couldn't be happier) Wyatt got a gift card, and goodies. I got an awesome basket filled with lots of goodies that Gerilyn, and Tom canned this year. Adri got a cute bow holder, and lipgloss, and Chase got a Mickey Mouse Golf set. This year all the brothers and sister's went in a gift for my dad( A new Flat Screen T.V) He's been wanting one for a long time. How blessed we are to have so much. Thanks to everyone who makes our life so wonderful!
