Today for my little tidbit into the past, I am supposed to tell how the different ways of doing household chores have changed or is different then when I was growing up. I don't know that much has changed, my kids hate chores and complain just like I did when I was a kid. I do remember something my dad would do in the summertime, that I would love to start with my kids. Each morning he would have a list of projects we had to do, before we could do the fun stuff. We all started getting up early so we could pick the best jobs. I would hate it if I had to do any kind of yard work. I haven't grown out of that either. Anyway I do appreciate that my parents taught me how to work. When I had a job at Taco Time, I could tell the kids whose parents had taught them the value of hard work. We are trying to instill that value in our kids too, but they are going to whine along the way just like I did.( I still do, lets face it who really likes CHORES.)
